The religious city Chitrakoot is also called the abode of Lord Shri Ram. According to beliefs, Lord Shri Ram spent eleven and a half years of his 14 years of exile in Chitrakoot. About 6 kilometers away from Ramghat of Chitrakoot is the place where Mother Sita spent most of her time. Mata Sita's kitchen is also there in this Dham. Where Mother Sita used to cook food.

धर्म नगरी चित्रकूट को भगवान प्रभु श्री राम की तपोस्थली भी कहा जाता है. मान्यताओं के मुताबिक प्रभु श्री राम ने अपने 14 वर्ष के वनवास में साढ़े ग्यारह वर्ष चित्रकूट में ही बिताए थे. चित्रकूट के रामघाट से लगभग 6 किलोमीटर दूर वह जगह है, जहां माता सीता ने अपना सबसे अधिक समय बिताया है. इस धाम में माता सीता की रसोई भी है. जहां माता सीता खाना बनाती थी.
