Mitchell walks through Power BI’s new TMDL (Tabular Model Definition Language) view, a scripting interface that lets you edit semantic-model objects directly in Desktop. After turning on the preview feature, he shows how to drag tables and the entire model into the editor, tweak data-types, switch an import table to DirectQuery, and even paste reusable scripts for perspectives and calculation groups. The command palette, multi-line editing and search-and-replace make large-scale changes easy, and the session ends with a demo that flips every unwanted “Sum” or “Count” default to “None” in seconds.
