How I Completed 2 Major Triathlons in 1 Week — and Landed on the Podium Twice

Everybody, including Jan Frodeno, thought I was crazy doing the Ironman in South Africa and the T100 in Singapore in the same week. After my arrival in South Africa, it even got worse, because I got some kind of food poisoning. The lead up to the Ironman was a race against the clock, but I somehow made it, even got second place and secured my spot for the World Championships in Nice.

With a full Ironman in the legs, I had to travel from South Africa to Singapore. The combination with the heat and humidity made it even more difficult. With low expectations I started the first T100 of the season, and again made it to the podium.
