This video shows you how to become fluent in English using 2 forms of storytelling. Either you narrate a familiar story from any language in English or you listen to a story in English and then retell it in your own words. Today’s video is based on the story of Shakuntala, a famous heroine of Kalidasa, the classical Indian dramatist who is known as the Shakespeare of India. He takes the story from its original in the epic Mahabharata but puts his own imaginary incidents to make it more interesting. Listen to the story carefully. If you know the story already then you can tell it in English immediately. Otherwise try to narrate the story in your own words after you have watched the video 2-3 times. You will see that your fluency and confidence increases with each retelling of the story.
