I bought Starlink internet in Malaysia | Setup & first impressions | Why I bought Starlink

Struggling with Maxis internet in Malaysia. Maxis internet has been slow, with disconnections and poor service. I needed to get a backup or even a service to replace it. Being outside of 5G service, that wasn't an option. I looked around. Mobile hotspots don't cut it. I circled and circled and ended up going for it. Starlink. My thoughts are that even if I don't use it permanently. I'll have the Starlink kit and at any point, could turn the service back on and have internet if Maxis lets me down again. Preferably it beats Maxis and I can move to 100% Starlink internet.

The setup was really impressive. You plug in the plate, connect that to the power and connect that to the wifi box. Then startup the Starlink app and follow the steps. You're done. Powerful wifi and strong internet. No building, no technical expertise. Very impressive. So far the speed has been great, as suggested by the availability map on the website.

I'll do a review after I've used it.
