Today I am taking a look at 10 photographs from legendary Australian Landscape Photographer Peter Dombrovskis.
Peter remains an inspiration to Australian Landscape Photographers and his work has directly helped to preserve Tasmanian wilderness areas such as the Franklin River.
In these series I like to view the image without knowing too much about the history or significance of each photograph if possible so that I can focus on what the photograph itself is saying. However with Peter's work being so influential in Australia, I am quite familiar with it.
A big thank you to Simon Olding who lovingly remastered Peter's work for print and now makes it available through Full Gamut (https://www.fullgamut.com.au/full-gam...) as well as Liz Dombrovskis for providing her blessing to use Peter's photographs for this video.
For such a legendary photographer, his prints are exceptionally well priced allowing a new generation to appreciate the beauty of Tasmania through Peter's eyes.
I'd love to know your thoughts on Peter's legacy and his photographs in the comments! It was exceptionally hard to choose just ten photographs to focus on. Rock Island Bend I thought perhaps deserves its own video down the track...
