This is the landing of an Easyjet flight at Malta International Airport at the start of a nine holiday. Malta is a beautiful and historical country/island in the Med and is well worth visiting. This is our 5th visit and we will return. The Maltese are one of the most friendly people you can ever meet abroad. They are extremely civilised. They not only speak perfect English...they also drive on the left!!.
Take a tour of the island or hire a car and investigate all the historical sites. The Mosta Dome is an absolute must!. The view over Valleta Harbour is one the most spectacular you will ever see. A trip around the harbour on one the many tourist boats will bring you a history lesson spanning 2,000 years. You will be amazed at the thickness and height of the defensive Bastions. See the bullet holes in the harbour buildings caused by the German Luftwaffe. Walk up the Presidents Palace steps and actually ring the doorbell....but don't argue with the guard.LOL
