The risks typically encountered in collaborative applications result from the possible contact of robots with human workers. An essential point in the risk assessment of collaborative applications is therefore the measurement of collision forces.
The ISO/TS 15066 standard as well as the soon to be updated ISO 10218 define allowed maximum values for forces in jamming contact situations and from this ultimately the possible speeds of the robot application result.
