Backhoe cross tube broke off of a Catapillar 416 backhoe. Cutting off the center hydraulic pivot mount can be a challenge if you don't know what to do.
I give a brief rundown of how I go about removing specific parts from one another with the use of a torch. In this case, I had the ability to scrap the broken piece since the tube was already no good. This helped to not cut the "good part" and do most of the torch cutting on the sacrificial piece it was welded to. hope this video gives you some ideas on how to go about removing the two without the need of an arc gouger.
