Here's a ride-along of my 2001 Dodge Dakota TDI ride-along. It has an ALH out of 1999 Beetle, with a home-built harness adapted from a 2003 Jetta Wagon, with a Fast Forward Automotive ECU and tune on it. Running 206 injectors and the factory turbo. Mated to a Whitbread adapter kit, which is bolted up to an NSG370 transmission from a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that had a 4.0l 6cyl in it. The NSG370 is bolted up to the factory Dakota t-case, which retains all the electronic 4x4 controls.
To fully utilize the 6-speed transmission, I would do well to add taller front and rear differential gearing, but for now it works as a 5-speed. Really no use for the 6th speed with the gears I have in it from the factory (came with a 4.7l v8 originally).
More info in one of my other videos if you want more info on the swap.
