From fallout over high cost of living and the rise of remote work, the city's workforce has left in droves, causing small businesses in its downtown to fail on a massive scale. Westfield San Francisco Centre was once the top performing mall in the country and its two anchors considered their stores to be there flagship locations. In this video, we'll discuss the history of this shopping mall and discover why after once being on top of the retail world, it can no longer attract or maintain tenants in a city rotting to its core, and why its story is not over yet.
