The first member of the Lower Moons we meet is technically Kyogai, the demon Tanjiro fought in the Tsuzumi Manor. Before becoming a demon, Kyogai was an aspiring writer.

Although someone in his life was incredibly critical of his work. This person tells Kyogai that he’s become isolated and boring. When this unknown person leaves, he steps on a piece of paper containing Kyogai’s writing. This caused Kyogai to fly into a rage and kill the other person.
