Brand New KONE MonoSpace DX Elevators - AMFI, Narvik, NO

AMFI Narvik has recently replaced their 1990s Thyssen elevators with KONE DX elevators just last year, which is understandable given how rather worn out the old elevators were. I was a bit surprised to see this when I was in Narvik again during my Norwegian winter cruise season. All the Thyssen Velino escalators and Orinoco moving walks are still original.

Not much to say about these, but I do like the lighting inside. As with many newer KONE elevators in Norway, these use KSS Design fixtures with D20 partial height COPs. I've noticed that a lot of older elevators in Narvik have been replaced by KONE, because KONE Norway has a branch office here near the town's harbour:    • KONE MonoSpace Elevator - Fagernesveien 3,...
