Oracle SQL Tuning - Optimizing AND

Conjunction queries, where the filter includes AND, can have poor performance due to the way they use (or do not use) indexes. This tutorial demonstrates some techniques for tuning them: a couple of hints, and some SQL rewrites that may help the Optimizer to do a better job.
