Peter Liljedahl's book Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics is a popular framework for classrooms. Questions as to what it looks like come up in a lot my discussion with teachers so here is the first of hopefully a number of examples of a BTC lesson from my classroom. The lesson is introducing polynomials and is from an Honors Algebra 2 course.
In this video, you'll see an example of the BTC framework in action! After a brief introduction you will see me start the lesson with visibly random groups, give instructions, and manage the flow of my classroom.
In the Building Thinking Classrooms Live Classroom Example,
