'Gapping' drystone walling repair

Rebuilding a section of fallen drystone wall in a North Yorkshire field. One hours work condensed into a couple of minutes of time-lapse, showing one frame every 30 seconds. First I remove all the fallen stones and lay them out on the ground, graded in order of size. Then I remove any unstable stones that remain in the wall. Then I start the task of replacing each stone, rebuilding the wall until it is back to it's original height. It’s rather like doing a 3 dimensional jigsaw puzzle. The whole structure holds together just by gravity and, if done well, should stand for many, many decades. Unfortunately it started to rain so I had to turn the camera off before I had quite finished topping the wall.
