Reclaiming The Name (Part 2) -Yeshua / The Berean Way of Honoring the Messiah

In this video, we're exploring the name "Yeshua"—the original Hebrew name of our Messiah—and we’re going to be looking at its deep significance compared to the transliterated form "Jesus." We are going uncover why this name matters, we’re going to trace its transformation through some of the languages, and we’ll contrast it with other Biblical names that retained their Hebrew roots when transliterated. And we will look at why retaining the original name honors heritage, ancestry, and meaning, especially with our Messiah, Yeshua.

And as I am sure you understand, this will not be an in-depth, comprehensive study. That just simply isn’t possible in a short length video such as this. The purpose of this video, as well as the last one, is to let those who would watch this channel and view our content know why I choose to use the proper name for our Creator and His Messiah, Yeshua. Because going forward, those will be the primary names used for both.

I want to state that I am not saying that everyone who uses the name “Jesus” are not in Covenant with the Creator. It is my belief that many within the modern-day church who regularly call on the name of “Jesus” are sincere and truly doing what they believe to be right and proper. I myself came into Covenant with our Creator through the name of “Jesus”.

However, this isn’t about what we want or what our preference is. But it’s about what the Creator wants and commands. Once we have been presented with, and brought to the understanding of truth, we are now accountable for the knowledge and understanding we now possess. So, if we come to a Scriptural understanding, we should be submissive to the Scripture, not our opinions, church traditions, or church dogmas and creeds. Shouldn’t we, as disciples and students of the Scriptures, move toward greater truth and greater understanding when it is revealed to us in the Scriptures?
