Coastal Erosion in Cheticamp

I'm hoping my having covered this area for a few years will garner enough attention so that the powers that be may do something to safeguard those that traverse/walk this road. Do feel free to pass along/share.

The area depicted here is "De L'anse des boise Maries" ... the road follows the water runs just off the Cabot Trail from where the old fish plant used to be in Petit Etang and runs southward.

The erosion along this road continues unabated, the guardrail is compromised with one post hanging losely and another with the bottom end exposed. Other supporting posts will soon be left hanging "mid-air", hence nothing to hold back vehicles that may inadvertently come into contact with it. Have recently been told of one incident where a wheeltire went into a hole.

The dangers are easy to see as one drives/walks along certain stretches.

A mix of clips used are from an iPhone 17 Pro Max, DJI Mavic 3 Pro & Mavic 4 Pro begins with clips as of today except for the last two clips....the last winter scene was shot February 6, 2025.
