Wildebeest crossing Mara River

The Mara River crossings, also known as the annual great wildebeest migration take place in Serengeti National Park Tanzania and Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya. Millions of wildebeests and Zebras keep crossing borders from a side with dry vegetation to a side with green vegetation and water. This is one of the main reasons behind migration. The actual Mara river crossing occurrence, where wildebeests cross River Mara happens in July and August. This is the climax of the migration and so many tourists yearn for this particular season. Wildebeests have to cross through crocodile-infested rivers and survive the predators on the other side of the land if there make it to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya alive.
