Decided to take Isaac to Chatfield Ponds. In the past, we have had luck with either red salmon eggs or pink power bait. Today, they weren't biting those. So Isaac recommended combining different baits to see if the fish would bite. I thought it was a waste of time, but it ended up working with green power bait and red salmon egg.
Also, I told him to wait to set the hook until the bobber was fully submerged. I missed about 3 fish and he said to set earlier - again, I thought it was a bad idea but it worked!
The moral of the story - don't be afraid to try new things!
