In this video we set the primary structure of an Amur maple bonsai. This tree was repotted in 2020 from a 16 gallon nursery pot into its first bonsai container and left to grow freely to regenerate the root system. Now we return to it to discuss and correct its flaws. As part of this process to set the primary structure of this tree, we perform a thread graft to improve the apical region.
