Nand Kishore Vikram (1929–2019) was a renowned Indian writer, translator, and literary journalist in Urdu literature. Born in Rawalpindi (now in Pakistan), he migrated to India after Partition in 1947 and later settled in Delhi.
Over his lifetime, he wrote and translated more than 100 books, including poetry, novels, short stories, and critical essays.
He was the founder and editor of the iconic annual journal “Alami Urdu Adab”, which highlighted Urdu literary works and voices from around the world.
In 2013, he received the Aalmi Frogh-e-Urdu Adab Award for his outstanding contribution to Urdu literature.
Nand Kishore Vikram dedicated his entire life to the promotion and preservation of Urdu language and culture.
