This movie is dealing with events during the second world war in the
town of Breukelen in The Netherlands/
Breukelen had a turbulent time in the years between 1940 and 1945.
In this town, occupied by the German soldiers, were raids, air attacks
with Typhoons and Spitfires, bombings at bridges, railways and station.
But also there was the liberation and inprisonment of German soldiers
in castle Nijenrode.
In 1945 Breukelen was at a strategic position, between the the river
Vecht en the canal Amsterdam-Rhine.
This movie shows some inhabitants. Some has experienced the war,
others not. They are members of the historical association of
Breukelen and very involved with the war events in Breukelen.
It is an unique and historical document, containing historical pictures.
