EN // Creative4democracy – Paul Spies provides insights into the joint development of a participatory performance //

Three renowned cultural institutions - Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (Milan, Italy), De Balie (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Stadtmuseum Berlin with its partners at the Humboldt Forum (Berlin, Germany) - have joined forces for the #creative4democracy project. The core of the cooperation is the cross-border exchange and development about how participatory work with communities in the cultural sector can be successful. In three workshops, the institutions exchanged their methods, developed ideas and agreed on a theme and key question for the participatory performance.
The last workshop of the series took place in Berlin: Paul Spies, artistic director of the Stiftung #StadtmuseumBerlin, provides insights into the collaboration and development of the project as well as an outlook on the next steps, which include participatory collection calls.
The results will be incorporated into a performance that will be shown to the public in April/May 2024.

DE // Creative4democracy – Workshops zur Entwicklung der Partizipation und Community-Arbeit im Kulturbereich //

Für das Projekt creative4democracy wirken die drei namhaften Kulturinstitutionen - Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (Mailand, Italien), De Balie (Amsterdam, Niederlande) und Stadtmuseum Berlin mit seinen Partner:innen im Humboldt Forum (Berlin, Deutschland) – zusammen. Im Kern der Zusammenarbeit steht die Frage, wie partizipatives Arbeiten mit Communities im Kulturbereich gelingen kann. In drei Workshops tauschten die Institutionen ihre Methoden aus, entwickelten Ideen und vereinbarten Thema und Leitfrage für partizipative Performance.
In Berlin fand der letzte Workshop der Serie statt: Paul Spies, künstlerischer Direktor der Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin, gibt Einblicke in die Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung des Projekts sowie einen Ausblick auf die nächsten Schritte, welche u.a. partizipative Sammlungsaufrufe beinhalten.
Die Kulturinstitutionen lassen die Projekt-Ergebnisse mitunter in eine performative Produktion fließen, die im April/Mai 2024 der Öffentlichkeit gezeigt wird.
