フィロデンドロン・バーキンをお迎えしてから１年9カ月が経ちました。葉っぱが出る度にどんな葉になるかわからないのも魅力です♡
一度鉢上げしたら、新葉の出始めが最初からグリーンになってしまいました。確証は、ありませんが、バーキンは、ストレスが掛かると白い葉を出しやすいそうで、鉢下げや日光量を増やすと白くなるとも言われていますね。成長するほど立っていた株が開いてきてしまったので、切り戻してボリュームを出すか迷いどころです。
It's been a year and nine months since I got my Philodendron Birkin. One of the charms of this plant is that you never know what kind of leaves it will have each time it grows.
Once I repotted it, the new leaves started to grow green right from the beginning. I'm not sure, but it seems that Birkin is prone to growing white leaves when it's stressed, and it's also said that it will turn white if you lower the pot or increase the amount of sunlight it gets. The more it grows, the more open the plant is, so I'm not sure whether to cut it back to give it more volume.
