It seems like everything nowadays is a double edged sword. One of my favorite things about the motorcycle community is how quick everyone is to offer up advice. Usually it's a very welcome thing; typically most of us want to collect as much data as possible, especially when it comes to getting ready to buy a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but it's also quite common to be overwhelmed by the vast amounts of differing opinions mixed in with the advice provided. Sometimes collecting a lot of data isn't without its downside, namely, filtering through info that is based on conjecture, extremely biased (and might not apply to YOU) or just factually incorrect.
It's important to invest money wisely and most of us can't go purchase a Harley priced motorcycle without being diligent and judicious about making sure that our money goes to the right model.
