The zoological park of Paris is a French zoological park of the National Museum of Natural History. Designed in 1934, in addition to the menagerie of the Jardin des Plantes, this zoo aims to observe the animal behavior in captivity and the reproduction of endangered species in their environment of origin. From its opening, it is famous for its large artificial rock, high of 65 m, emblematic decoration visible from a long distance and popularly named "the Great Rock"
Le parc zoologique de Paris est un parc zoologique français du Muséum national d'histoire naturelle. Conçu en 1934, en complément de la ménagerie du Jardin des plantes, ce zoo a pour vocation l'observation du comportement animal en captivité et la reproduction d'espèces menacées dans leur milieu d'origine. Dès son ouverture, il est remarqué pour son grand rocher artificiel, haut de 65 m, décor emblématique visible de loin et populairement nommé « le Grand Rocher »
