JumpStart Animal Adventures is a 3D PC Game that was released on April 22, 2002 in the United States. It was also released in the UK on August 16, 2002 with the title Frankie: Animal Adventures, in France on December 20, 2002 with the title Frankie: Drôle d'Animaux, in Germany (unknown release date, sometime in the year 2002 possibly) with the title Frankie Große Tierwelt, and in Sweden on August 4, 2004 with the title Lek och Lär Vilda djur. The game was also distributed with Chick-Fil-A kids' meals in 2007. The game focuses on nature, animal, and habitat concepts for children ages 4 & up.
In this game, Frankie (from JumpStart First Grade with a new design and voice) starts an Animal Habitat Contest for children. The contest consists of sending children out into various habitats and filling out contests sheets with the challenges they must complete in learning about animals. The winner of the contest will be clarified an official habitat explorer by Frankie and JumpStart and receive a certificate as proof of their completion.
CJ Frog's nephews and nieces: Molly, Polly, Wolly, Tad, Chad, and Wart discover about the contest while flipping through a JumpStart habitat magazine. The tadpoles then convince their Uncle CJ and Edison to enter them in the contest and help them win. The player is also (indirectly) invited to come along and help. Using CJ's All-Over-Rover (AOR), the player can choose to explore four habitats: Temperate Forest, Tide Pool, Rain Forest, and the Savannah. Once the player chooses their habitat, one of the tadpoles will accompany the player and explore the habitat with them. Frankie will then give you your contest sheet for the habitat that can be filled out while exploring.
When exploring the habitats, the player can interact with and learn about the various animals that they see. The animals when clicked on will talk to the player and tell them more about them. Some animals after informing the player about them will let the player play a fun activity. The player earns points by filling out the contest sheet and by playing the activities that are present in each habitat. These points can be redeemed later on for stickers. There are also various songs and music videos that play throughout the game that help the player learn more about the animals or habitats. After the player completes the contest sheet for the habitat they will receive a printable arts and crafts project as their reward. After all contest sheets are filled out the player will then be challenged to play an Animal Smarts Game to earn more points as a reward for winning. After the player is done with the game, they will receive their certificate and the habitats will reset and can be explored again.
