This camera is observing a "bait hive" or "swarm trap" in my backyard, after a swarm of feral bees moved in on April 18th, 2024.

How can you tell the difference between scouting behavior, a swarm moving in, and an established hive?
Scouts will hover around the entrance like they're evaluating something, and then eventually go in. When they come out, they'll walk around the front step and inspect a bit more before they fly away.
If a swarm has already moved in and established a colony, it will look like the other live stream linked above. The bees behave like they own the place, and they enter or exit like they have a job to do.
