Creating a FLOODED TIMBER DUCK HOLE in the Creek Bottom! |

In this episode of #HOMETURF, we head into the creek bottom at King’s Bend to carve out our own flooded timber hole for duck season. With ducks trading between the fields at the main house and other flooded properties in the area, our goal was to create a pocket that could run traffic under a good flight line and pull birds into the trees for some close action smashing this fall. Using a skid steer and mini excavator, we cleared out dense buckbrush and small trees, yanked root wads, and fought through a few hiccups—including stuck equipment and snapped straps. With a little sweat and a lot of teamwork, the result is a clean, open pocket we can’t wait to hunt. Just good, fun, gritty habitat work!
