An Easy 1940s Makeup Look for WW2 Era Women

This is a classic 1940s makeup look created by the beautiful Irina @retrofrog exclusively for Glamourdaze. The emphasis by the mid to late 1940s was red red lips and smokey eyes with a defined brow arch.

This tutorial is a step-by-step guide on how to achieve a 1940s makeup look. Irina is wearing a classic 1940s hairstyle and makeup including:

Hair: The hair is styled in a curled, victory roll style.
Eyebrows: The eyebrows are arched and defined, creating a sophisticated look.
Eyes: The eyes are accentuated with eyeliner and mascara.
Lips: The lips are a vibrant red color, adding a pop of color and classic vintage appeal.

0:14: Foundation.
Apply a foundation in stick format to the entire face, including the eyelids and the area under the eyes. Blend using your fingers.

1:09 Brows.
Use brown eyeshadow to decorate your eyebrows, creating rather thin arched lines.

1:39: Blush.
Apply creamy pink blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend with your fingers.

2:11: Powder.
Apply the powder all over your face with a large brush and polishing movements.
