ℹ️ About this video
The Native peoples of Arizona engaged in a vibrant and far reaching trade network. Today much of that trade is hidden from archaeology because products such as corn and cotton have not endured. But the pottery sherds tell the story of this trade network and allow us to trace these ancient paths across the land. In this video I follow the Palatkwapi Trail over 100 miles south from Hopi into the mountains where I find traces of coal fired, yellow Hopi pottery.
