Mavericks Awards is a digital performance contest where athletes and videographers submit their best surf videos from Half Moon Bay's infamous big wave spot throughout the season. Winners are selected for the following categories, with a male and female winner in each: Performer of the Year, Biggest Wave, and Ride of the Year. Prize money is split 60% to the athlete and 40% to the videographer/photographer. The competition window is now open from October 1st through April 15th.
