Exploring Seoul: Markets, Hanbok, Street Food & Hikes

Join us on an unforgettable adventure through Seoul, South Korea, as we explore the best the city has to offer — from bustling street markets and traditional palaces to scenic hikes and mouthwatering street food. We kick things off with an early check-in at Fraser Place in Namdaemun before heading to the famous Namdaemun Market, where we try the popular Isaac Toast for breakfast. We also explore Mangwon Night Market, where we indulge in marshmallow-topped ice cream and Korean fried chicken in soy and cheese powder flavors.

One of the highlights of our trip was renting a traditional hanbok and visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace — did you know you get free entry when dressed in a hanbok? We also dined at a Michelin Guide restaurant that’s been recognized for seven consecutive years, though our review might surprise you. For the adventurers out there, we take you on a hike to the summit of Mount Bukhansan, the tallest peak in Seoul, with tips on what to expect and what to pack (insect repellent is a must!).

We also explore the artsy streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, enjoy a sunset walk along a serene stream featured in a K-drama, and unwind in the vibrant district of Itaewon. Our last day in Seoul was met with unexpected summer rain, but that didn’t stop us from squeezing in some last-minute shopping at Hyundai City Outlet and a surprisingly affordable ginseng shopping experience near our hotel.
