Born in 1929 in La Garriga, a small town north of Barcelona, Manuel Blancafort wrote a great number of songs. This song, “Cançó”, Song in English, was written in 1950. The text is by the great Catalan poet Tomas Garces. Performed here in the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona. This concert was organized by the foundation Frederic Mompou the 7th of July 2011.
