Vintage Stove Exchange Kelvinator to General Electric

It was time to switch out the stoves in the Cavalcade kitchen studio and I was fortunate to have two friends and fellow appliance collectors stop by for a visit, so I put them to work! Thanks to Chris and Richard who helped move out the 1951 Kelvinator double oven range (it was a heavy one) and bring in a beautiful 1968 General Electric range in avocado green.

The 1968 GE is a recent addition to the collection and the only example of a range in avocado green. I share some thoughts about the significance of this color (and other earth tones of the era) on the website:
