✨ Executive Dysfunction — Part 12 ✨
Today was a big one.
Part 12 wasn’t just an update — it was a full-circle moment.
This whole thing started last Tuesday during a Session 1 with a new client. I asked her to clear clutter, the same thing I ask all my clients. And I reminded her, like I always do: “I will never tell you to do something I haven’t done myself.”
And right after that call, I looked around my camper and realized… my space wasn’t reflecting what I teach.
That was my wake-up call.
That was when this whole series kicked into high gear.
Since then, every day I’ve asked myself one question:
“What can I get done by Sunday?”
Not perfection. Not the whole damn camper. Just… progress.
And this week brought a lot of progress:
• More trash bags out
• Boxes and baskets loaded into the Jeep for donation
• Cabinets cleared
• Clothes reorganized and moved
• Counters scrubbed
• Sink cleaned
• Floor opened up
• And most importantly — my energy shifting
The more I did, the more I wanted to do.
Every little win reminded me that I matter, even when dysregulated, and especially when executive dysfunction is trying to convince me I don’t.
And speaking of reminders…
The Jacket Moment™
While I was getting ready to take out the trash today, I found my old “WE SLEEP AROUND” RV jacket — the one the ex absolutely hated.
He couldn't handle the joke.
He couldn’t handle that people might… gasp… misunderstand me.
Now I don’t give a single fuck who misinterprets it.
I live in an RV. I did sleep around — the country, not people.
And since it used to say “Roaming Vagabonds” (plural), I crossed out the S.
Now it’s Roaming Vagabond — singular.
Because that’s who I am today.
That jacket is part of my story.
And I’m wearing it proudly.
My reward for all this work?
Saturday’s motorcycle ride — where I finally mailed the letter to my daughter I’ve been carrying in my backpack since August. Letting that go lifted something heavy off me that I didn’t even realize I was still holding.
And now?
Part 13 begins with the desk area — winterizing, reorganizing, and making that space work with me instead of against me.
Action Step:
If you’re deep in executive dysfunction right now, ask yourself ONE question:
“What small thing can I realistically accomplish today?”
Not the whole house. Not the whole plan. Just one next step.
Momentum grows from the tiniest movement.
