Cheap FrankenPen Thrills: Pilot Nibs In Wing Sung Pens

Wing Sung makes some great budget pens with well-built bodies and fun filling systems such as piston fillers and vac fillers... but their nibs tend to be unexciting unless you like very fine nibs, and, though the nibs are pretty smooth, you can feel that the metal is cheap when you use them. The great thing about them, though, is that many of their models are completely compatible with the excellent steel nibs Pilot puts in its budget pens such as the Kaküno, Metropolitan/MR, Plumix, etc.

I recently won a JetPens giveaway that included three Plumix pens of differing italic nib widths. I like the nibs, but I'm not crazy about the Plumix pen bodies. While the shape is comfortable, the plastic feels flimsy, and I don't care for the design. I decided to get some Wing Sung pens and do a nib swap to get the best of both worlds: nice Wing Sung bodies with high-quality and reliable Pilot steel nibs.
