Steven went missing on the family property West of Guyra while herding sheep with his father.
Over 3000 people including my Father in 1960 searched for 77Hrs in rugged bush country.
When found these famous words gripped the nation ", Where's my daddy, where's my daddy" cried the little boy lost.
Johnny Ashcroft wrote the song little boy lost as a result which went to No 1.
The song was modified out of respect to the family of Graeme Thorne after his death after a failed ransom attempt.
Graeme died still living on the same family property as he was lost on.
He is now buried in the Guyra Cemetery in a marked but plain headstone.
