Welcome back to the remote countryside on one of Japan's Southern islands!

The DIY projects continue with my Wife deciding to build a Beehive box.Her latest interest is to have a go at Beekeeping!

Every year at a particular time,swarms of honey bee's will be looking for a new home.

Here in Southern Japan,especially on the islands where the climate is more Sub tropical,this typically happens in March or April.

The odds are probably not in our favour for a colony of Japanese honey bees to choose us but let's see what happens!

We've also been picking plenty of Mugwort herb,called Yomogi in Japanese,this time of year.We use it in the kitchen in a variety of dishes as well as making things like Yomogi body oil.
