Working on my Sunbeam Tiger - 1965
This video shows everything from the left side from cutting off the bad patch panels, cutting of the rust, to rebuilding the support structure and panel fit. It is still not done, but now the left side and the right side are at the same point and I am ready to do the final panel fitting before welding.
I have been building up to this restoration for years and this sill replacement is the biggest task. Cutting up the original and cutting the patch panels was a bit nerve racking.... but I finally tackled it and its fine and I hope I can help others see that it is not so bad.
I purchased replacement panels from the UK and this is the process of cutting them down, shaping, finishing the sill rear seam, fitting the fender patches, and what I needed to do on my project.
My Tiger is going to be awesome if I can ever get it done... doing these videos helps me make "do-able" chunks and stay motivated. So if you like what I am doing please subscribe to support my effort.
