i had a really fun time playing that tune for David Crosby when i first met him~because ~ + he was still searching for his mind.☺️April 1982~ CROZ + Michael meet🥳(Breakfast in the Field release date OCT 22,1981)

i ran into him in Mill Valley at the 7-Eleven and he was eating an orange popsicle 🍨He had scabs all over his face. He looked horrible.

But i was excited to meet him and i had just put out my first record ~so i invited him over to my VW van~ and gave him my record.

He saw my guitar case and said, “Whoah, let me play you this new tune* i wrote.”He tuned it right to Breakfast in the Field (CGDDAE) ~ i couldn’t believe it. i don’t think he got it from Bartok though~☺️~~~

So he said, “Let’s go up to my house and we’ll jam.” Bless David’s soul; he’s completely clean now~ But i remember him because he was the one who got me to experiment more { with altered guitar tunings}
