On our next day in San Diego, we visit one of the most popular spots for locals and tourists alike, the San Diego Zoo. This zoo is by far the most popular and well-known zoo in all of California. It is a definite must see and it’s easy to see why. Early in the morning on a day that’s not too hot or too cold in the middle of summer is the perfect time to visit. Look at all the animals we met—from giraffes and rhinos to polar bears and penguins.
