The Ohio FVC hosted a valuable farm safety webinar presented by Seth Coakley of Princeton Outdoors, where he shared practical, life-saving guidance tailored to today’s working farms. Seth covered the importance of creating readiness plans so that every member of the farm knows what to do in an emergency, as well as how to build strong relationships with your local fire department to improve response time and on-farm support.
He also walked participants through some of the most common farm accidents — including machinery injuries, falls, and medical events — and explained clear, actionable steps to take when they happen. The session emphasized preparation, communication, and confident first-on-scene response to help keep Ohio’s farming communities safe.
