Thoughts on working vacuum

Sorry it's a little long. I've seen people use working vacuum as a metric for vacuum performance but I just don't think it's truly an accurate look at their cleaning ability.
When we compare these two units the mosquito super (Green) cleans better than the Carbon Lite (black) despite the carbon lite having a working vacuum about 19" higher. If working vacuum were a truly accurate assessment of their cleaning abilities that should mean the Carbon-lite is about 25% stronger but this is clearly not the case. Here's the numbers for each machine.
Mosquito Carbon-lite 112 CFM 120" 94" working vacuum
Mosquito Super vac 148 CFM 90" 75" working vacuum
Working vacuum favors units with high suction because it's basically a suction test. It shouldn't be used to try to gauge vacuum performance. It has some practical uses like indicating which units would run a turbine tool well, or being able to identify leaks in central vacuum pipe.
