This video explains how to use the Fetch API in JavaScript to fetch JSON Data from a URL. We will use different methods like GET, POST, PUT and we will also use an Authorization Header in case the API requires a username and password.
The Fetch API is one of the most common APIs you will be using while developing code. It allows you to fetch any resources on the backend. You can retrieve information by using Get or update and post new information using Post and Put. It is very simple to use and in this video I will explain all of its functionality in roughly 5 minutes.
The Fetch API is also asynchronous which means that your code will note wait for the results to be fetched. In order to wait for the API to retrieve results and execute a different functionality in the next line of code you will need to use an Async function and the Await keyword to await the response.
