I washed my hair with dog shampoo for a week!

Hi all, and welcome to The Dog Grooming Nerd!

Lockdown madness has definitely set in, and this week I decided to do a hair challenge. I had some Milly's dog shampoo lying around, so I wanted to see how dog shampoo works with human hair.

As you may know, Milly's is currently by far my favourite dog shampoo brand. These shampoos were my very first video on this channel, and the channel has come a very long way since. The great thing about Milly's is that they are a vegan shampoo, fully cruelty free and they also offer a collection service for your empty bottles.

Please do keep in mind that dog shampoos are designed specifically for a dog's pH, so I wouldn't recommend long term use if it can be avoided. Short term use should be absolutely fine, and overall I was really pleased with the results. The shampoo did strip my beautiful purple hair colour a lot, but that is not a huge issue as it is something that I can reapply very easily.
