9D Completion (Part 1/13).

So I recently found out this mod was released and I am soooo on board for it. I have absolutely no idea how long it's going to take me to complete, nor how long between uploads I'll be going, but I'm not hopeful it'll take less than 100-150 hours total; and with other completion videos showing I'm less than 10% through (doing the easy stuff!) that doesn't seem unreasonable at this point.


In the following entries in this series I'll have a death counter, but I only found the mod that adds it recently so unfortunately I didn't have it for the first set of rooms.



There have been a couple points so far that I've used the Assist options to recover lost progress due to silly trolls and so on (one of which is shown in the video as it's part of the completion of a screen). I don't want to have a discussion about this in the comments, so on the off chance this video gets any sort of viewcount above like 2, please don't make comments about how I use assist mode. I play Celeste for fun, and I do not enjoy arbitrarily losing progress because the level creator thought they were being funny - some people are into that, but I'm not. There are also mechanics in the game that I dislike (such as required Oshiro bounces, or super heavy wind to make it impossible to see, etc.) and I'll likely be skipping those rooms/checkpoints with Assist as well.


I'm no stranger to the grind for progress, in fact I generally enjoy it, but sometimes I just dislike something and don't want to play it ever, at all - and that's what I'll be skipping. If you don't like that because you enjoy games a different way than I do, fair enough, you don't have to watch my videos or think I completed 9D "legitimately" or whatever else you feel about how that changes my eventual completion; keep it out of the comments section.



The clips shown in this video are taken either from local recordings of my off stream play, or from livestreams at my twitch channel (  / whytefang  . As a result, before/during clips you may hear me talking - in general I'll try to edit it out as much as possible, but sometimes it just isn't.
