With only 19 days until christmas, we have filled our Youtube Channel with festive cheer! This week, we are demonstrating How to Make a Kissing Ball.
Ingredients for the Recipe can all be found at Triangle Nursery Ltd www.trianglenursery.co.uk. You will need:
A foam sphere
Foliage of choice
Plant Sticks
Green stub wire
Roses
Hessian Ribbon or Ribbon of choice
What is a Kissing Ball?
The herbs on each “kissing ball” were not only chosen for their beauty, but also for their symbolic value. Lavender and rosemary signified loyalty and devotion, while thyme promoted courage. Mistletoe was a popular decorative choice symbolizing good fortune and fertility. The kissing ball began to emphasise romance, rather than mere good will.
