Supplies:
Smoothie Straws: I found a pack of 40 plastic 1/2-inch smoothie straws at HEB grocery store for 99 cents, and 200 Jumbo Straws (much smaller diameter so three fit into the 1/2 straw) for 99 cents. They are available in large quantities on Amazon, so you may want to drink 4 Slurpee's or smoothies and keep the fat plastic straws for your project. You can certainly substitute a 1/2 or 3/4 inch wooden dowel.
